Customizable dashboard: your overview, your widgets

The screenshots in this article show the German interface. The English label is given first, with the German label in square brackets.

Your home page in ContractHero — the overview [Übersicht] — is no longer the same for everyone. Rearrange widgets, remove what you do not need, and bring the key figures your day really starts with onto your dashboard.

Every user designs their own overview — your layout applies only to you.

Your benefit

  • Relevance instead of one-size-fits-all. Finance sees income and expenditure first, legal sees the deadlines that are expiring — every role builds the overview that suits it.
  • Tidied up in seconds. Widgets you never use are thrown out with a single click — and can be added back at any time.
  • Your reports on the home page. With the reporting feature, you pin saved reports directly onto the overview as a widget.
  • Effective immediately. Changes apply straight away — there is no save step you could forget.

How it works

1. Activate edit mode

Open the "Overview [Übersicht]" and switch on the "Edit mode [Bearbeitungsmodus]" toggle at the top right.

2. Arrange or remove widgets

In edit mode, every widget gets a handle for moving it (by drag and drop) and an × for removing it.

3. Add widgets or reports

Use "+ Add report [+ Bericht hinzufügen]" to add to your overview — you can choose from system widgets (for example Activities [Aktivitäten] or Tasks [Aufgaben]) as well as your saved reports, provided you have access to the reporting feature.

4. Leave edit mode

Switch the toggle off again — your layout has already been applied and stays in place.

Frequently asked questions

Can my colleagues see my layout?
No. The dashboard layout is personal — everyone designs their own overview without changing anyone else's.

I have removed a widget — how do I get it back?
Activate edit mode and add it again via the widget selection. Removing is never permanent.

Can I put my own analyses on the dashboard?
Yes — saved reports from the reporting feature can be added as a widget. That way you see your most important analysis as soon as you log in.

What is the team selection at the top for?
Use "All teams [Alle Teams]" to filter which team's data the widgets show — handy if you work in several teams.

Good to know

  • Reporting first, then the dashboard: report widgets require the reporting feature. The linked reporting article shows you how to create reports.
  • No risk in trying things out: because layouts are personal and everything can be added back, you can experiment freely.
  • The data basis stays the same: widgets show the same figures as the respective areas — just where you want to see them.
